NCO on duty: Xiang Ting
Due to it being the school holidays, instead of the notice on GB noticeboard, Xiang Ting to ensure all squad leaders remind all squad members that there is GB on 11 Sep (even though consent form has been submitted)

Fall in: 9.30am @ parade square (outside GB room if weather is too hot/raining)
To bring: GB nametag, water bottle, umbrella/sunscreen lotion (optional), some money to eat at Mac
Who: Sec 1s to Sec 3s
Attire: 50th anniversary shirt (purple) + school skirt, can wear sports shoes.
9.30am roll call
9.45am briefing (guidelines to interacting with MINDS clients)
10am board bus
10:45am Meet MINDS clients (and their staff) Start walk in gardens
11.45am End walk at Mac. Have a quick meal
12.30pm Bid farewell to MINDS clients and Board bus back to PHS
1pm Dismissal (hope there is smooth road conditions)

Guidelines on how to interact with MINDS client
Do’s
• Maintain eye contact when speaking to client
• Get to know their names
• Use simple words and sentences
• Break down tasks/instructions into bite size information
• Repeat and rephrase instructions to ensure understanding
• Be firm with them when required
• Do support our efforts in teaching clients appropriate social etiquettes and
behaviours
• So watch your spoken and body language. They will emulate you seamlessly
• Do always stay with our clients
• Do refer to our staff for private matters such as toileting and dressing
• Do watch out for signs of choking during meal/break time
• Do ensure the safety of our clients at all times
You will be paired 2 students to one MINDS client, and their staff will be with us (teachers, adult church helpers)
