Dear GB girls,
Please note the following:
- CCA suspension in PHS (for all CCAs): 19 Sep to 13 Oct (until the end of your last paper).
- For those doing flag-raising duties at Friday morning assembly:
- Please read the instructions in the Squad Leader handbook before FRI
- Squad leaders/assistant squad leaders to check the uniforms of those on duty
- Squad leaders/assistant squad leaders to let all members know what their role is (I noticed that those who stand behind the flag raisers do not seem to know their purpose, and the flag raisers are not sure where the flag should be at by certain parts of our national anthem)
- Those on duty should take a maximum of 10min to change out (not the whole reading period) of their full uniform after flag raising and join their form class for reading period.
- Sec 3s are required to note down the following dates+timing for their Pioneer Spiritual Badge:
- 14 Oct (FRI), 21 Oct (FRI) and 28 Oct (FRI)
- 11am to 12.20pm (80min)
- Chapel basement with Rev Jackson who will conduct the badgework
- Bring along your devotion journals, bibles and stationery
- Attire: Any GB tee (please coordinate among yourselves) + school skirt + school shoes
- note: 14 Oct and 21 Oct are days where students need not come back for classroom lessons (pupils' release days)
- Next GB meeting on 5 Nov (SAT) + 12 Nov (SAT)
- 8am to 3.30pm
- Program and things-to-bring list will be released nearer the date
- For 2023 and beyond
- Do not schedule tuition/personal/family events during CCA days and timings (Fri afternoons + Sat mornings). We will mark it as Non-Valid Reasons (will affect your attendance). For medical appointments, please try as best to avoid CCA days and timings.
- First weekend of March break (Sat to Mon): Camp/session for promotion modules
- End of Year camp/session (either the first or second weekend (Sat to Mon) of Nov)
- If you cannot make it for CCAs, it is your responsibility to inform your squad leader before our roll-call when we report attendance. If you know in advance that you will miss CCA (i.e. competitions, other school duties), please inform the CCA teachers as soon as you know, NOT wait until the day before the GB meeting.
- When you miss badgework, it is your responsibility to look for the teacher/officer who taught that badgework and arrange for make-up sessions. Please note that we will do our best to conduct the make-up session but we are not obliged to do the make-up session if our schedule does not allow it. Badgework conducted by paid vendors will not have any make-up. Any badgework not completed may result in a penalty on your CCA points.
- Any parent's letters (max 3 per term) or doctor's MC should be given to the CCA teachers the next day you return to school. It is your responsibility to submit them promptly.
- Attendance less than 75% will result in a 'Fair' conduct for the term in your results slip.
Study hard before we gather again! :))
All the best!
