15 July (FRI) - GB Day! (It's our day!)
Reporting time: 7.10am outside GB room (bring all your bags up to the backstage of hall, no need GB room key)
Who: Sec 1s, 2s, 3s, and Claire.
updated! Attire: GB Full-uniform + GB Boots + GB socks
At first recess: Can change out to GB National Tee
(If you have PE before first recess, can change to PE first)
Squad leaders and assistant squad leaders to mark attendance and roughly check your squad's attire.
We will be standing on the stage in Bethel Hall facing the school, just like NCC day etc as one contingent.
Staff Sergeant (SSGT) Claire Lim will command the school (and us GB).
Please do not lift your legs up 90 degrees for this event unless you want to flash at the school. There is no need to bang loudly on the nice wooden flooring either.
Legend: Pink (Claire); Beige (Squad leaders); Green (Assistant Squad leaders); Yellow (GB girls)
(actual number of columns may not be 17 as shown in photo, please play by ear to arrange in a compact manner)
The procedure is the same as normal school days, except Claire will say, "Sekula Ta'at Sedia" before pledge taking. Because you are in uniform, every movement has a command. So the command to raise your right arm for the pledge is Sekula Ta'at Sedia. And after the pledge, to put your hand down back to Sedia position, Claire will say, "Sekula Sedia" before letting all of us do "Sekula Senang diri".
The teachers will try to get a standing microphone for her for the pledge, but if it does not happen, please support her by saying the pledge as loudly as you can.
Please have something to eat and drink something (a little is better than nothing) before you come, so that you lower the chance of yourself fainting.
GB Colours - please note that our GB colours is our actual ceremonial colours and cannot be taken out (unveiled without an offical ceremony) and placed on the stage like NCC, NCDCC, NPCC (who are all not using their formal ceremonial colours but an informal one).
